What it’s like to be mis-gendered.
Life as a transgender person or as someone questioning their gender can be overwhelmingly difficult. Some days it feels like you should just give up.
Being misgendered feels like being punched in the stomach. It sends anxiety crawling through our chest. Being misunderstood seems to be the norm.
Do others know how scary it can be? Maybe you’ve stopped feeling because it just hurts too much.
Do you feel like you are hiding? Like you don’t even know how to have relationships anymore?
As a transgender person, how do you face life?
But how do you walk through coming out as a transgender person with your family? Or at school? Or with your job? How do you hope to date and move forward in life like you want to?
I count myself incredibly privileged to have seen countless trans people make it through the crushing challenges and out the other side. The hope that dances in their eyes as they begin to feel a good, satisfying life is possible.
You can have what you desire. You are worth it and so much more.
Whatever place you’re in, I’m here for you.
I would love to talk with you more about what living as a transgender person might look like for you. Let’s walk together toward the life you hope for.
Whether you are just trying to figure things out and want a safe person to explore what’s going on with your gender or whether you have transitioned already but are struggling, let me walk with you on your journey.
